Layers

"Layers" is a series I've been working on for over two years. I strive to capture the way fabrics fall and move. In these works, I observe the fabrics around me and try to capture their positions, knowing that the moment may vanish within seconds due to wind or the movements of the person wearing or holding them. I'm not only focused on capturing their movement; I'm also fascinated by how clothes and fabrics create layers—a concept that originates from my previous series, "Under." Layers of clothing overlapping each other, seemingly endless.

Under

"Under" is a series inspired by my fascination with hip-hop culture, particularly its fashion. This series reflects on how people tend to hide behind their clothing. Individuals often conceal certain parts of their bodies under layers of baggy clothing due to insecurities. In this series, I aimed to capture how we lose our identity and become anonymous, unable to express ourselves fully due to insecurities, religion, or strict home environments.
